Like miniature fireworks, the rock crystal dome in this antique diamond ring has been etched underneath with tiny rays emanating from three dots. They may be interpreted as abstracted flower blooms or tiny explosions. Either way, the subtly etched white on white (or clear) effect adds dimensionality to the icy, sleek surface of the rock crystal quartz cabochon. At the center and around the edge, diamonds work their glitter play.
