Shadowlands reflection which also incorporates sounds of(2022) "Shadowlands" is the 8th drawing in the Reflecting Pool Series. Based on a photo I took of my backyard in winter, this piece is a study on mental health. As a sufferer of seasonal affective disorder, for me, winter is peak season where light meets dark. My subject covers their eyes, refusing to believe they're standing in darkness. By doing so, they cannot move forward and miss out on seeing any light beyond the shadows.
