The characteristic, deep black glass bottle was designed at the time by a German glass manufacturer. However, due to the First World War, the whiskey was temporarily bottled in green bottles. Today Black Bottle is being sold again in its old design. The classic blend combines Islay malts with Highland, Speyside and Lowland whiskeys, which are blended with mild grain
