The archetype provides the exciting, game-action-rich turns of Combo decks, but with less deterministic, more skill-dependent outcomes
These MH2 cards were intentionally designed without real downsides zero cost interactive spells which only get better with mana or synergistic effects
This card, unlike many other extra turn cards, doesn't require a combo and anything fancy to activate it
The first copy of Risk Factor is usually pretty easy to ignore and you just take the four damage instead of giving the opponent three cards, but with jump-start its usually pretty difficult to take another four damage and still survive the early pressure or other burn spells red decks can put together
The primary difference, however, is that the condition for its triggered ability an opponent searching their library is often a more reliable one than Faerie Masterminds
However, they are vulnerable to repeated board wipes such as Wrath of God, so it's recommended that you add ways to protect your board with cards like Eldrazi Monument, Rootborn Defenses, and Heroic Intervention
