Quite a few cards have healing or +/- options, meaning you can often make it a little harder to remove your characters and mess up an opponents calculations

History tracking: Keep a history of all your scanned cards and consult their value anytime

While this does include your own characters, being able to immediately shut down any buffs that rely on cards being undamaged can go a long way
