Additionally, while you do have to commit to paying 1B the next turn to keep him around, you don't have to commit to 2BB
He grows more powerful every time you cast a non-creature spell, and that power in turn fuels an incredibly versatile mana-making ability
By comparison, you can generate a bunch of creatures quite cheaply when you focus on it, and those creatures can be tapped again every single turn including the turn they enter play, or in the opponents end step after theyve already been used to block
What does surprise me, however, is how strong this card is

I'm not sure, but there's at least a chance that it could, which is enough for me to want to give it a try
