but really I'd treat this box more as a decorative than a functional object anyway--set it somewhere to admire it and leave it alone

something about the angled ramp on the front side together together with the open square at center and the pitch of the green roof just totally does it for me

date to the 1940s or so

Rare (and Perfect) Matte Gray Mid-Century Zanesville Ribbed Planter steel painted object So many context in whichI've bought and sold a handful of mid century Zanesville ribbed planters and vases over the years of various sizes, and every time I find one think how good they are. I've never seen one in matte gray (charcoal, really) like this though, and think it's extra good. A perfect smallish planter. 5 1 2" in diameter x 4 5 16" t and in great vintage condition, no chips, cracks or other issues.
