I'd guess this drawing dates from the mid- to late 19th century and maybe it is Scottish

Charming, Curious Black ink on Wood Repeat Drawing of Coal Train and Driver sensu which this little frogI have no idea the story behind this, but I think it's fabulous with this early locomotive coal train hand drawn over and over on old plywood panel in what appears to have been a black marker. I've tried to figure out what the partial text on the bottom might refer to looks like the existing letters might read Hemfield, but that has lead me nowhere. I just love the manner of the drawing, with this little man in brimmed hat at the center of the train,
