Finely Hand-Embroidered South American Textile Pouch orange and blac This is one pretty specialI don't really know the story of this wonderful, finely hand embroidered pouch, which I purchased at the estate sale of a gallerist and collector in Boston, who had some incredible South American textiles, including some ancient Chancay Peruvian woven pieces. I would guess it, too, is Peruvian, and certainly painstakingly done, with thousands of tiny cross stitches. I think it's quite possible that the embroidery is older than the pouch itself a
