I would place the "reference" stencil on or near the bookshelves straight away

but which I know dates to the 1960s or so

Each sheet measures 16 1/2" l x 8 3/4" w x 1/16" thick

And to my eye quite a little jewel of a thing

which I can't stop looking at

And a good wand for just waving around otherwise! Of a nice and substantial weight, with brass handle. 10 5 8" l x 4" w and in excellent condition.
