but these nails seem to have been in place a good long whole and hold the blade tightly

And they may just have sat there just like that since the 1870s. 1874 appears on the face of the scoring cards, which look to have been cut down from printed tickets for a lecture sermon by Charles Jean Marie Loyson (18271912), better known by his religious name
